Paula Patton might be one of the sexiest women in America. But onscreen in Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, her character has trouble showing off her va-va-voom.

IMF agent Jane Carter (Patton) has serious second thoughts about using all the weapons at her disposal to garner spy intelligence, highlighted in this deleted scene exclusively on USA TODAY.

Carter holds up a sexy green number that Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) plans for her to wear to attract the attention of a male mark with vital security codes.

"Look, I don't seduce," she says.

Hunt says. "You're an attractive woman, and men are simple."

Carter, realizing its their only option, finally concurs: "He has to want me," she says of the plan. "On schedule. He can't not want me."

Sounds like a killer plan! While director Brad Bird couldn't use the scene in 2011's box office smash hit, it sizzles in the DVD extras.

Patton, who is married to singer Robin Thicke, had challenges getting fit for the film (and the green dress). Filming began five months after she gave birth to son Julian Fuego requiring two-and-a-half hour training regiments each day.

"To be an IMF agent you have to be fit," said Patton at the time. "I had some work to do."

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol will be released on DVD/Blu-ray/On Demand and Digital Download on April 17.
